For the few who don’t know him, Red’s reputation as a spokesperson for the rights of pain patients was earned over the many hours he has spent advocating for his wife, a facial pain patient, and for the rest of us, by proxy. His works have been published all over the web and in print. His main interest is bringing common sense to the prescribing of opiate pain medication for chronic pain patients. For years, Red has been fighting for pain patients’ rights to adequate pain relief, free from the presumption of addiction and from unnecessary obstacles to prescriptions.
